{ Charming Stars }


Since the new year began, I've made two 38x52 baby plus quilts.



Shame on me for not taking photos of the them but they are identical to these quilts made previously. I was really lucky to have enough leftover fabric from the earlier projects to make two more. 
I even had enough coordinating backing fabric. {High five}

I also completed the Charming Stars quilt top.  The pattern is a freebie at Moda Bake Shop. It uses three charm packs and the blocks are a breeze to make. This pattern would make a great baby boy quilt (less blocks) or a QOV quilt with some red, white and blue fabric.





The fabric is Snowman Gatherings II by Primitive Gatherings.
After I took these photos I added two more borders, pieced the backing, and boxed it up for its trip to Utah for quilting.
When she gets back, I'll take more photos.

    The colors you chose for your Charming Stars quilt are so unusual and SO beautiful! Pinning this to remind me that browns and blacks can be stunning in a design like this. Thanks so much for opening me up to some new colors!

      All the color coordination kudos goes to Primitive Gatherings. They really outdid themselves on Snowman Gatherings II. I love the color combos too.

    I love your Star quilt, and this pattern in particular is great. But the plus quilts are also on my bucket list, I really have to make one ASAP.
